Rave 1: Mana-hime

For all you girls out there (and maybe some boys)...do you remember a time when you pretended to be a princess? You'd dress up in your mother's clothes maybe, and maybe even smear your face with her makeup. And then you'd go and play in the living room and have your tea party, rule your little kingdom etc.etc.etc. Tonight, I realized that Mana fits very well into the type of fantasy princess descripton I just made. He's always wearing pretty dresses, he always seems perfect, he's always seeming to have fun (on stage, in interviews etc.) and of course, he rules the kingdom of Mizer-land. It kind of gives me a warm feeling of when I was a child to think about him in this light. "Mana's the princess and he's prettyer than you!"

Rave 2: Kamijo and Sopia are the same person

They are! And although this has nothing to do with Malice Mizer..(but hey! I know there are a lot of MM fans who are also Lareine fans! And at least a few of you are Angelheart fans) I am writing this thought out here. I swear..they are the same person (even though they physically look totally different). And here's why:
~They both had or have long blonde hair.
~They both have really-really messed up teeth.
~They both sing in really nasaly voices.
~Neither use vibrato although it is sometimes attempted by Kamijo.
~Both were singers of 4 member visual bands
~Kamijo writes most music for Lareine; Sopia writes all Angelheart music.
~Both Lareine's and Angelheart's guitarist, bassist and drummer left.
~Kamijo continued Lareine for some time after the rest of the band broke off. Sopia to my knowlege is still continuing Angelheart.
~After the departure of each man's band, both of them resorted to wearing masculine suits.
~Angelheart's webpage takes FOREVER to load and so does the New Sodmy webpage!! And I have a DSL line here people!
~Their weights are only 1 kilogram apart (although Sopia is a lot taller).
~They both had a brunette stage a while back.
~Angelheart has a song about Scarlet Eyes, and Lareine has a song about Emerald-green eyes (complementary colors!)!
So, from all this hard scientific research, it is quite obvious that Sopia and Kamijo are indeed the same person.

Rave 3: Le Francais

I have no reasoning for this really, but French titles are cool. It may be because I understand French a whole heck lot better than Japanese. But then...I think I just like it cause it sounds cool. And really, it's not just Malice Mizer who uses a lot of French in their material, it's a staple of j-rock especially the romantic visual rock(as if that wasn't obvious...but..umm). Anyhoo, I decided to make a list of Malice Mizer-y words and their meanings. And I also included a few Lareine words separated at the bottom. Cause I like them too. And NO I did not use Alta-vista for this! I've been taking french classes for the past 7 years! *pant*

Rant 1: Mana can't dance

Lets face it, J-rockers can't dance period. Yuki from Raphael can't, Izam can't, sex MACHINEGUNS maybe can... and Gackt definetly can't. Mana though..just seems to dance even worse than all of the above mentioned peoples combined. I am saying this right after watching the PV for "Gardenia" for the first time. Damnit! He is moving around in that thing like a flamingo on dope! He spins, almost falls over, bobs up and down, swings back and forth jerkily...and it all looks incredibly dopey. Maybe if he'd sit down and play his instrument rather than trotting around everwhere like he normally does, he would look a little less stupid. And it;s not just in Gardenia either. Mana choreographs a lot of Malice Mizer dance. Does everyone remember the "Gackt and Mana rub their butts together and bob up and down" move from "Madorigal"? When I first saw that I was thinking "What the F***??" and I still look at that and think "What the F***??" To think...Mana used to want to be a Johnny...you know--they actually dance realy well, Mana. But then, I guess it's hard to dance like SMAP when you're wearing such large shoes. Not that I want Mana dancing like them. I think that would be even scarier. Mana can't dance. So there. That doesn't make me love him any less. It just makes me want to slap him.

Rant 2:

A real short one. Gardenia is a hard song. And my fingers want to be stupid and not cooperate with me and let me play it decently on my guitar. Seriously, the chord progression is very simple and with a classical structure--but the way I'm trying to make my fingers move is just aggervating. Blah.

Rant 3: Gackt's jacket makes wierd noises.

Gackt's "Au Revoir" era jacket squeaks when he moves. Noisy clothing bugs me. Bla, bla, blathering bla.

Rant 4: My guitar is red.

I love my guitar. It's a bright red Les Paul/Gibson and is the exact same kind that hide used to play when he was just a little boy (it was his first guitar actually). Other J-rockers have this same guitar too. Masa from Gackt's band has one just without the little cream coloured attachment thingy (which I really don't know the name of...). And Serra from Angelheart has this guitar too. I love my guitar so much that I named it "Lady Oscar" (ala "Rose of Versailles") and put that name in gold letters on the body. The problem is...I am going to cosplay Mana sometime next summer at an anime convention (which I am purplosly not specifying) and for the talent contest, I'm going to play a Malice Mizer song. Now...that sounds great--doesn't it? NOOO Cause my guitar is RED! Since when..in his whole career has Mana ever been seen with a gosh darn red guitar? I'm supposed to be Mana, and I'm toting around a red guitar! That is WRONG!! *Deep breath* That's okay...I'll just say that I left mine at home and so I'm borrowing one of Kozi's guitars -_-;;;;
